Mark Taylor

Mark Taylor currently serves as CEO of Dominion Group,. Mark co-founded Dominion in 2007 and has served as its CFO and President prior to assuming the CEO role in 2019.  Dominion Group is the parent company for Dominion Development Group, a construction and development platform, Dominion Management Group, a Multi-Family Housing platform, DGA Capital, an affordable housing platform, and Dominion Senior Living, a Seniors Housing platform. The collective focus of our portfolio companies is primarily on three distinct business lines: the acquisition, rehab, and repositioning of market rate and affordable multi-family properties throughout the Southeast; the development of new market rate and affordable multi-family properties throughout the Southeast; and the development of new senior housing facilities under the Dominion Senior Living brand. Dominion also selectively pursues the development or repositioning of other asset classes when there is significant value upside potential, most notably successful exits of a large behavioral health platform and a significant investment in distressed office.

In his role, Mark helps lead the strategy for the group of companies and leads all the acquisition and development functions for the firm as well as managing all banking and financial relations.  In addition, Mark oversees all the management and asset management functions for the companies’ portfolio of multi-family and seniors housing assets.

Mark is involved in various civic and philanthropic ventures and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Thrive, a ministry serving at risk youth. Mark is also passionate about education and is currently on the board of The Episcopal School of Knoxville and sits on the Presidents Leadership Council for Webb School.

Prior to co-founding Dominion in 2007, Mark worked in Banking and Finance, both with national banking institutions as well as his own mortgage banking firm.

Mark earned his MBA and BS in Finance from The University of Tennessee. He is married to Lynn and they have four children.
